Hi! Welcome to my webpage. My name is Sophia and I'm a passionate scientist studying my Biology BSc (Hons), looking to share my work and knowlege online. All the papers on here I have written myself during my degree, however they are not official scientific papers so please don't reference me!
All the group projects on here have been in collaboration with three or four other people on my course. Though their names have not been mentioned for anonymity, their initials are next to each project on the dropdown menu. I definitely didn't write all of it myself so thank you to them!
This page is just for a bit of fun and to test out my code writing skills so I hope you enjoy!
I also love being creative with my art and pole dancing, so if that interests you too please stick around!
Credit to my friend Michael who also has his own website and inspired me to code my own as well!
I'm suprised you fell for that one.
It is not birth, marriage or death, but gastrulation which is truly the most important time in your life.— Lewis Wolpert, 'From Egg to Embryo: Determinative Events in Early Development (1999)'
My Biology BSc (Hons) degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, meaning it offers a well rounded foundation of biological knowledge and key skills. Such as the emergence of functional organs from stem cells in embryos, to the evolution of land plant diversity. This diversity in subjects provides a basis for a multitude of biology related careers.
I believe that biology is one of the most important sciences in the world. It encompasses all life on Earth, from microscopic E.coli cells to whole ecosystems like rainforests and all their species interactions. This is one of the main reasons I am so passionate about it — it is the key to everything we interact with.
Here are the modules I have taken so far during my degree:
To help me learn html, css and javascript I used a number of websites, youtube videos and the neocities tutorials. These are all linked below!

Some of these I've drawn inspiration from for my website, some are other scientists and some I just think are really cool!
